After the congregation's Prospect Street building was lost to urban renewal, the circular stained glass window from that building's façade was reinstalled at that spot in the Hamilton Avenue facility, where the organ loft had been in the Temple Emanu-El era.

Founded in 1873, it moved to its current location on West 95th Street in 1926. OHEB ZEDEK (Taylor Rd. Synagogue), the largest Orthodox congregation in Cleveland, was founded in 1904 and incorporated 5 other small to medium-sized Orthodox congregations in the early 1950s. Over 40 Hungarian Jews, many of whom had left Congregation B'NAI JESHURUN in a dispute over mixed seating, formed Oheb Zedek. Stanley Liker and Mendy Bauman, the Presidium of Congregation Ohab Zedek of Belle Harbor, are pleased to announce that the Board of Governors and the membership engaged Rabbi Joshua Berkowitz as the incoming Rabbi of the Synagogue. Rabbi Berkowitz succeeds Rabbi Jacob Reiner who served as the spiritual leader of the Synagogue for 34 years. He was appointed Rabbi of Young Israel Ohab Zedek of North Riverdale/Yonkers in 2006.
